Due to strict tourism regulations in Egypt, daily permits from the police and military are required for tours. For specific tours, such as marine or private ones, passport details or voucher photos are needed to secure permits. Some hotel guides may claim that insurance doesn’t cover third-party tour organizers, but this is false. Your travel insurance is valid throughout Egypt, including with any tour company. Additionally, all transport (like buses or boats) must be fully insured to operate, and organizers are responsible for passenger coverage. Strict regulations and permits are required for every tour in Egypt.
